Many workplaces have extended health plans as part of the employee benefits package. Health benefits differ between workplaces. If you have extended health benefits through your workplace, it is very likely that a portion of my fee will be reimbursed to you if submitted. Some plans reimburse 100% of my professional fee, other plans reimburse different amounts. Some employee benefit plans have a high maximum allowable per year, per family member, other plans have smaller “per year” maximums. You are encouraged to verify the pertinent information relative to your own plan. It is your responsibility to pursue any potential reimbursement from your insurer. I will be happy to complete any necessary form.

The current fee for my professional service is very similar to what other London-area Psychologists charge. OHIP does not reimburse or pay for the professional services of any Ontario psychologist in private practice.

For individuals that are referred to me for other reasons (motor vehicle collisions-MVCs, Workers Safety and Insurance Board-WSIB, Quick Victim Response Service-QVRS for a licensed professional’s misconduct, etc) an appropriate fee for my professional services will be negotiated and authorized by all parties prior to commencing any assessment or treatment. Funding for these programs must be pre-arranged and each program has a different set of requirements. These will be discussed and authorized by all parties prior to the commencement of any assessment or treatment service.

From time-to-time, a patient may request to have a longer session than scheduled because of some major events during the previous week. I will always attempt to satisfy the request, if time will allow. The fee for the additional time will be charged pro-rata.

The fee for any service requested of me (report or letter preparation, telephone calls or emails to third parties, my attendance at any treatment or assessment meetings with third parties, court attendance, etc.) will be charged at the same hourly rate as arranged for assessment or treatment services if the accumulated time is greater than fifteen minutes (¼ hour) in any week.

Full payment for my professional services is expected to be paid at the end of each session or upon completion of any work requested of me, unless third-party payments have been pre-arranged.
