I came to Doctor Unger in a frantic state … I had thought I was functioning well on the outside but inside, there was a steady decline that I knew I needed to address. From the first meeting when he asked me to call him “Rob” I felt comfortable and confident I was in the right place, with the right person, at the right time. In my arrogance, I thought my issues were clear and defined … it did not take long for Rob to help me reveal the hidden nuances that had shaped my life. Intuitively, Rob assisted in a perspective change and ultimately my reaching resolution and invoking action to heal old wounds. The resources provided me are invaluable. While my time working with Rob was relatively short, I left buoyed by his guidance and proud of the steps I had taken to re-establish myself.
Finding someone who will listen, who will advise and who will guide, without coddling me, was the priority. I found what I needed in Doctor Unger.
I am pleased to recommend Doctor Unger.
Thank you for your wise counsel. I have instructed my solicitor. It was the new will that to “disinherit” me that was the last straw.
Looking forward to a new life. Reading a good book – “Finding Meaning in the 2nd Half of Life” by James Hollis, Phd. Gotham Press. Very insightful.
Dear Dr. Unger,
Just wanted to thank you for your help and guidance this past year.
Nina is now home and doing much better. Barb and I are on the right track again. You made a significant contribution to helping things improve for us.
Thank you for the time you spent speaking to my husband Alan concerning Adam. You are right – you and we can only give Adam suggestions and support on ideas of what to do to change things in his life – but it is he who has to turn around and do something. I’m sure you have given him “food for thought” and hopefully in his quiet time he will ponder on them.
I will consider calling John [name deleted] (the businessman who Adam admires) to see if he can help but for a couple of reasons, I will call him after Easter.
Adam will be assessed as I understand it, at the end of April (approx) by the Mental Health Coun. Program.
Thank you again for your support for our son.
I wish to thank you very much for all your help and words of wisdom. Things seem to be turning around slowly for the better, some day soon we shall be a happy family again.
For helping me get back on track with my life and out of my “rainy gloomy days”.
Thanks to you, the sun is shining again!
Thanks for your help and patience
Further to our conversation regarding photography challenges in cold places I hope you enjoy this book, which has been in my library for awhile. I would like you to have it. Thank you for your words of wisdom and insight.
Besides what better place for this book but on a Psychologist’s coffee table. The title is perfect.
Thanks so much for being available to Glenn and I during our crisis with my brother. You helped make some sense of his dilemma for us, and I believe you helped him pursue getting further immediate treatment. All your time, effort and support was so greatly appreciated.
With much thanks and friendship,
Lisa and Glenn
Dear Dr. Unger,
I just wanted to thank you for all of your help during the five sessions. Just to keep you up to date. Since our last visit my relationship with Tim is completely over. It was amazing how much was lifted off of my shoulders the day that we exchanged our stuff and called it quits. Its been a month and I’m holding up very well. He called me the other day to tell me how much he misses me and loves me, but it didn’t even affect me.
I have since moved on, and I have started dating again. I met a really nice guy, and we are doing things the way things are supposed to be done, getting to know each other. Friends first, and he has enough respect for me, that he isn’t ready to just jump in the sack.
I took your advice. I deserve better than I had. A more career oriented person, who treats me the way I should be treated. That’s exactly what this new person is doing for me. But even if things don’t work out I’m learning a lot. Learning what its like not to have someone around ALL the time, and it’s really not so bad. It makes the time we do have together more special.
Thanks for helping me to unload my grain of sand. I am somewhat poorer, financially speaking, but I feel much better than I have in years. I am off all medication and I haven’t had even a cold in eight months. Quality of life is definitely up!
This is a long distance thanx for your help and your generosity to me recently. Nothing like seeing 1 Billion people to put one’s own preoccupations in perspective!!
I have lost contact with you and thought I would “check-in”. Everything has been going fine since I last talked to you. Dentistry is comfortable. I am closing for 10 days to redecorate the office so I guess this is a positive sign. My private/personal life is stable and pleasant also. I am not sure just where I am at regarding calling you? perhaps I am doing okay?
Thank you for all your help & advice to date
Hello Rob, it has been a long time since we spoke and just wanted to let you know how I’m doing and give you a big THANK YOU for the tremendous help you gave me.
I graduated from school in August with multiple certifications from the computer industry and gained employment immediately.
I am a computer network technician … , I’m enjoying my work and plan to keep going nowhere but up!
My life took a dramatic change for the better with the help and advice you gave me. Not once since we last spoke have I been depressed or succumbed to anxiety or any psychological malignancies.
Because of you I’m now able to live a happier and better life, and deal with the unpleasant things that life sometimes has for us in a much more controlled way.
Rob, thank you so much for all your help.
